To help you efficiently plan your visit, you can choose to follow one of the following itineraries. They should save you time and ensure you get to see everything without getting tired!

1 day, 1 Park ticket (option 1)

If you would like to visit the Walt Disney Studios Park, and only have 1 day available, this is the best option. You even get to spend up to 3 hours in the other park before it closes.

Arrive early as soon as the park opens, usually around 9am. Make your way to the Rock 'n RollerCoaster first as it is the most popular. The Fastpass won't be open yet, but queues should be 10 minutes at the most at this time.
After riding the Rock 'n RollerCoaster, check the times for the various shows. Moteurs Action!, Cinémagique and Animagique have specific showtimes, so ensure that you make a note of them. If you have some time to spare before the first show, queue for the Studio Tram Tour.
After the Studio Tram Tour you should be ready for a show. The first show to open will probably be Cinémagique, so make your way to it if this is the case. On your way, get a Fastpass ticket for either Flying Carpets over Agrabah or Rock 'n RollerCoaster.
After the show you should be able to use your Fastpass ticket. The next show should then be open for you to see.
By this point it should be just before midday. You can take a break and wander out of the park towards Disney Village (remember to have your hand stamped so you can get back in). Here you can get some lunch or have a picnic next to the lake. You can also take a walk around the lake and admire the themed Disney Hotels around it. The restaurants should be relatively quiet until 1pm.
Make your way back to the park around 1:30pm, and you should be in time for the next Moteurs Action! show. If you are early, have a look around the gift shops. You can make purchases now and collect them later when you leave the park if you wish.
After watching the show you can visit other attractions in the park, such as the Art of Disney Animation or Armageddon. Then you may want to see your favourite show again. If you wish to ride on the Studio Tram Tour or Rock 'n Rollercoaster again, now is the time to get a Fastpass ticket.
Once you have used your Fastpass ticket, you can either do some more shopping or go on any attractions you might have missed.
At around 6:30pm you can watch the Disney Cinema Parade. The parade route is shown on your park map - get there early to get a good view at the front.
After watching the parade you can collect your purchases and have something to eat. The best choice of restaurants can be found in Disney Village, although you may like to try one of the Studio restaurants.
You then can enter the Disneyland Park 3 hours before it closes - during the peak season this would mean that you can spend from 8pm until 11pm in the park. In these 3 hours you should have time to go on a few rides, but as the Fastpass system would have finished by this time you may find long queues for the most popular attractions.
If you would like to ride on Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain or Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, make your way to one of these first (as many guests may be having dinner). As queues may be over an hour, you probably won't get to ride on all 3.
To ensure you get a good taste of the park, try to get to Pirates of the Caribbean (Adventureland), Phantom Manor (Frontierland), Star Tours (Discoveryland) and It's a Small World (Fantasyland). They are all great examples of what Disney does best.
Before the park closes you can either watch the evening parade or ride on some of the most popular attractions whilst they are less busy. On firework nights, be aware that some parts of the park may close early (usually Fantasyland).
